IFB Washing Machine Error Codes: Front Load and Top Load List
IFB front load and top load machines use different codes for the same problem. Find your machine type first, then look up the code. This list comes from IFB's own support pages and user manuals.
How to see the code
- Look at your machine type and model name on the sticker at the back or inside the door. Codes differ between model series.
- Models with a text display show the code as text, such as door, tAP or H260.
- Some front load models, such as Diva Aqua 6008, 6010 and 7010, show codes as LED flashes. Count the flashes; the pattern repeats every 3 seconds. IFB's Diva Aqua VSS page lists both the text codes and the flash patterns.
- Top load models show the code on the display, such as tAP, drE or ACL.

| 5 flashes | Front load, LED (Diva Aqua) | Input voltage too high | Restarts by itself. Call an electrician if it is frequent. |
| 7 flashes | Front load, LED (Diva Aqua) | Water above 60°C at start | Let it cool, or switch off for 2 seconds and restart. |
| 8 flashes | Front load, LED (Diva Aqua) | Not explained by IFB | Switch off, wait 2 seconds, restart. If it stays, close the tap and call IFB Care. |
| tAP | Top load | No or low water: not filled within 10 minutes | Open the tap, clean the inlet filter, check the hot and cold hoses are not swapped, check water pressure. |
| drE | Top load | Drain not finished in about 20 minutes | Check the drain hose is not blocked or kinked, its end is not under water and not more than 10 cm above the floor. Clean its filter. |
| UnbL | Top load | Unbalanced, will not spin | The machine tries to correct it. Otherwise spread the laundry evenly and level the machine. |
| dor | Top load | Lid open | Close the lid. |
| ACH | Top load | Input voltage too high | Restarts by itself. Call an electrician if it is frequent. |
| ACL | Top load | Input voltage too low | Restarts by itself. Call an electrician if it is frequent. |
| FrH / FrL | Top load | Supply frequency too high or too low | Restarts by itself. Call an electrician if it is frequent. |
| LSE | Top load | Load sensing error (also overload, motor, clutch or belt) | Switch off and on, run again. If it repeats, call IFB Care. |
| PrS | Top load | Water level sensing error (some models: motor open error) | Switch off, wait 2 seconds, restart. If it repeats, close the tap and call IFB Care. |
| E1, E2, E3 | Top load TL100 / TL900 (9–10 kg) | Motor error | Switch off, wait a moment, restart. If it stays, call IFB Care. |
| COn | Top load TL100 / TL900 | Shown with the motor error entry; not explained by IFB | Switch off, restart. If it stays, call IFB Care. |
| eEr | Top load (some models) | Motor error | Switch off and on. If it stays, call IFB Care. |
| HEt | Top load | Overheating | Restart. If it repeats, call IFB Care. |
| CPE | Top load | Capacitor error or overload | Call IFB Care. |
Good to know
- E1 means different things on different IFB machines. On front load Elena and Diva Aqua, E1 is cloth trapped at the door (E2 and E3 get the same steps, without a stated meaning). On top load TL100 and TL900, E1 to E3 are motor errors.
- Front load and top load use different codes for voltage problems: H260 and L175 on front load, ACH and ACL on top load.
- If you often see H260, L175, ACH or ACL, IFB advises having an electrician check the electrical system.
- We could not find an official IFB explanation for E4, a standalone dP code, or Lo on top load. We do not list codes we cannot confirm.
Questions people ask
What is L175 error in an IFB washing machine?
IFB lists L175 as an input voltage low error on front load machines. The machine restarts by itself when the voltage rises. If it happens often, get the wiring checked.
What is H260 error in an IFB washing machine?
IFB lists H260 as an input voltage high error on front load machines. It clears by itself when the voltage drops.
What does the door error mean on an IFB washing machine?
door means the door is not closed or locked. dLEr means the door is stuck or jammed: switch off, wait 2 minutes and do not force it. On top load, dor means the lid is open.
What is E1 error in an IFB washing machine?
It depends on the model. On front load Elena and Diva Aqua, E1 means cloth is trapped between the drum and the door. On top load TL100 and TL900, E1 is a motor error.
Why does my IFB machine show tAP?
The machine is not getting water: the tap is off, pressure is low, the inlet sieve is blocked or the hose is bent.
